- Dialysis Technician – This paramedical course helps students learn how to operate and work on dialysis machines for chronic kidney patients (CKD). Students are offered the necessary guidance to develop the skills required to operate the dialysis machine, perform regular dialysis treatments, monitor their patients, and ensure their welfare during the treatment.
- Emergency Medical Technician – EMT or an emergency medical technician course involves a paramedical study that focuses on teaching students to provide instant and emergency medical treatment. EMTs are certified and trained healthcare professionals who provide immediate care for people who have met with accidents, injuries, or other medical crisis situations.
- Hospital Store Assistant – This course teaches students to become responsible staff members in a hospital to manage all inventory of medical equipment and related supplies. The job of a hospital store assistant also includes receiving medical deliveries, storing the received items, maintaining stock levels, and distributing the supplies to various departments as required.
- Medical Laboratory Technician – An MLT is a certified healthcare professional course that students can pursue after the 12th. Certified students are appointed to carry out tests on biological samples like blood or urine. These tests determine the type of infection or illness suffered by patients who have given the samples. MLTs can seek lucrative employment opportunities in clinics, diagnostic medical labs, or hospitals.
- Operation Theater Technician – A popular paramedical learning course, an OT technician is a certified professional having completed an authentic course and is in charge of preparing and maintaining the operation theater room, and its equipment and ensuring that the room has a clean or sterile environment. The technician may also assist the surgical team, manage the operating instruments, and provide support to the doctors, surgeons, or anesthesiologists during an operation.
- Vision and Optometry Technician – An optometric technician is an individual with a paramedical certification, who is authorized to assist optometrists by conducting tasks such as performing eye examinations, noting patient history, preparing people for eye exams, handling diagnostic instruments, and fixing contact lenses over the patient’s eyes. All these tasks are done under the keen supervision of an optometrist.
- X-Ray and Imaging Technician – Paramedical programs offering X-ray and imaging technology offer certification to students as a radiologic technologist (radiographer). The professional is trained to handle and operate imaging equipment and X-ray machines. He can take diagnostic images after assuring that the patient is positioned correctly and exposed to adequate units of radiation.
- Cardiac Technician – A cardiovascular technician course involves training students to certify as a paramedical professional, a medical specialist who performs specific tests and processes to check and diagnose human heart conditions. He records the electrical activity of the patient’s heart by using certain equipment like the EKG, echocardiograms, or electrocardiograms. These procedures are done under the supervision of a verified cardiologist. Cardiac technicians often assist doctors by collecting critical data by taking different types of cardiac tests.
- Phlebotomy Technician – After completing a phlebotomy technician paramedical course, the student is also referred to as a phlebotomist and is considered a medically trained professional who is certified to draw blood samples from people. They also perform other tasks like preparing the samples for lab testing, explaining the procedure, and making the patients comfortable before taking the blood test.

The eligibility criteria for such courses include a completion certificate of 10+2 studies having taken science subjects including physics, chemistry, and biology. The minimum score required is no less than 50% in 12th standard from a well-recognized educational board.
