The COVID-19 pandemic has put an immense pressure on our country's healthcare infrastructure and services. The recent surge has further added stress to the need of upskilling existing workforce and new Allied Healthcare Professionals. Frontline Workers including Social Workers, Samaj Sewak, ASHA/Aanganwari Worker, Security Personnel or Sanitation Workers face the affected population and extend relief work. The COVID-19 SWAYAM SURAKSHA training is developed for frontline workers that server our communities. The trainings can be conducted in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Marathi, Kannada, Oriya, and Telugu. In FY 2020-21, 829 frontline workers were trained across India.
Sanitation plays an important role in both the spread and mitigation of diseases and the COVID-19 pandemic has brought this aspect on the forefront. This training is intended for Sanitation Workers in healthcare or public facilities and people in allied field. The training session encompasses keeping water supplies safe, safe management of biomedical waste and dead bodies. It also includes safe disposal of grey water and fundamentals on personal protection and safeguarding.

This training is intended for ASHA or Aanganwadi Workers, and related workforce. The training aims to provide learners with information on COVID-19 and suggests best practices in the current situation. This training session includes a guide on safe practices and special precautions to be taken in regards to Pandemic during Antenatal/ Intranatal/ Post-natal care of women, Newborn care, Immunization, and Pregnancy Check-Up.

This training is intended for Samaj Sevaks, NGO Workers and all people who work in the Communities. All social workers involved in implementation of COVID-19 relief work or working closely in communities need to have adequate knowledge and skills in order to ensure their own safety and protection. The session includes fundamentals of personal protection and safeguarding with an emphasis on measures during community interaction especially with vulnerable groups, marginalized segments, people with special needs etc. It also includes measures to overcome community resistance, safety measures during the distribution of supplies, and educating the community on myths vs facts.
